Teaching English Overseas

Teaching English overseas provides teachers with the opportunity to experience another country’s culture, customs, and people in an in depth way that extends beyond what might be experienced in a short vacation to the area.

In order to teach in Korea, there are certain qualifications that must be met by each candidate. These standards are set in place by the Korean government to ensure that Korean students are exposed to the best teaching available. That is why applicants are required to have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland or South Africa, from where he or she must also be a citizen. Additionally, applicants must be able to provide a clear criminal record check from their home country, and must be in good health.
